Whatsapp Disappearing Messages: Not all messages needs to stick forever
Whatsapp recently announced that the app will now allow users to send messages that will disappear after 7 days. Finally a good news from whatsapp after a while.
The company says not all messages needs to stick forever. Which is essentially true. I have a friend who sends 130 messages a day flooding my notification pane about her Whatsapp boutique. I had to sit and clear her messages in an everyday basis and now with this feature comes as a blessing in disguise, those messages will auto disappear.
Companies send promotional messages to whatsapp these days. Its good if they perish once they are outdated. Our phone need not to be the storage for someone else's expired promotions.
Also some of the messages that regardless of how emotionally connected you are can also be set to the disappearing message and it will go after a while. Its always good to let go.
This will help removing many out of those thousands of messages that floods your whatsapp from the group which you don't care anymore. Most of all, those outdated memes and forwarded messages that your technologically handicapped people send are going to disappear from your inbox in a week too.
Another good thing is that the voice messages and gifs that gets auto downloaded will also gets disappeared once they're 7 days old. Less chance of accidentally playing a curse message instead of happy birthday song.
It would be great if fake news gets deleted this way once people report it as fake news.
